We interviewed Rob Bell at Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium, while Rob was in Nashville touring for his most recent book Drops Like Stars: A Few Thoughts on Creativity and Suffering, and we threw in a few questions about an earlier book, Jesus Wants to Save Christians: A Manifesto for a Church in Exile. Given that Drops Like Stars is an extended meditation on suffering, we throw in for good measure Buddy Greene’s beautiful rendition of Stephen Foster’s “Hard Times Come Again No More,” recorded live at the “Tokens: Justice Songs” episode.
